Plus Size Is In on Fashion and Beauty PR Scene

This may be the year that plus size models make a real PR statement. Pleasantly plump beauties are gracing covers and getting lots of attention. The future may hold that traditional paper thin models may receive threats when competing with plus size models.

The most buzzed plus size PR campaign is from V magazine who proves big is in and beautiful. The magazine features double digit dress size models in sizzling hot bathing suites, hip-hugging jeans and revealing only their birthday gifts (nothing at all!).

“I loved the opportunity to show that you can be beautiful and sexy outside the narrow interpretations that normally define us,” said photographer Solve Sundsbo, who snapped the models for V.

I must admit these women are smoking hot in a really big way.

Can Jay Leno Use Funny PR to Save Show?

Jay Leno is pulling a funny PR move and it just may be his saving grace. However, media outlets have already counted him out. On Thursday night the media starting reporting that NBC was planning to put Leno’s 10 P.M. talk show on hiatus because of struggling ratings. Now we learn that Jay got PR skills!

What did Jay do? Well, he did what any funny man would do and made jokes about the show being canceled.

"As you may have heard, there's a rumor floating around that we were canceled. ... I heard it coming in this morning on the radio," Leno said. "So far, nobody's said anything to me, but if we did get canceled, it'd give us time to maybe do some traveling. In fact, I understand Fox is beautiful this time of year."

The much needed publicity will surely draw some eyeballs to watch his show. After all Leno reminded us just how funny he really, really is. Funny PR can work even in bad press situations.

If Jay Leno’s show is canceled he can

A. Work for Bristol Palin’s PR firm
B. Launch his own PR firm like Bristol Palin
C. Manage PR for the Twitter page @WackoJackoPR

His options are limitless.

Sandra Bullock the Hottest Female Celebrity in Hollywood

Sandra Bullock has always enjoyed being on Hollywood’s A-List. However, two hit movies during an economic recession prove Bullock is a sustainable celebrity brand. No matter the economy climate Bullock is a surefire win.

According to PEOPLE, Bullock's acclaimed film The Blind Side became the first movie in history to pass the $200 million mark with only one top-billed female star, Variety reported Tuesday. In its seventh week, the film earned $208.5 million in box office sales.

None of Bullock's past films in which she was the only star actress hit $200 million in sales, Variety reported. It's not even a record Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep or Angelina Jolie can lay claim to.

Bullock was the big winner at the recent People's Choice Awards 2010. She won the favorite movie actress award, while her blockbuster, "The Proposal," won favorite movie comedy; her male counterpart was Johnny Depp, who also earned the favorite movie actor of the decade.

Who can dispute that Bullock is Hollywood’s top female celebrity!

Is A Bristol Palin Handling Your PR?

Okay, I have seen all the bad news reports mocking Bristol Palin and her new PR firm. Let me be the first to congratulate Bristol for selecting such a wonderful career choice. While many news sources are questioning Bristol’s ability to actually perform as a PR professional, don’t knock the Palin team just yet. I predict in the future the world will come to respect Bristol as a household name in the PR industry.

Bristol’s new firm is called BSMP LLC which represents her brand name Bristol Sharon Marie Palin.

“Bristol Palin naming her company BSMP LLC is one smart PR power move,” stated CR Cataunya Ransom lead publicist for Mosnar Communications, Inc.

While some may laugh at the thought of Bristol being a PR pro, consider that she also has one of the hottest names to toot her PR horn. Yep you guessed it Mom Sarah Palin, political sensation and best selling book author. Just on the Palin name alone Bristol will score big accounts.

Many times people elect to go with PR firms for their big names. Often to find out that a new college grad or someone just like Bristol is handling their account. In respect to Bristol she is already the spokes model representing Candie’s Foundation. So her PR future is looking really bright.
